" - Anaïs Nin We begin with Gracie (Marley Brinx), a naive teenager who is just hoping to find her stepfather's fishing gear so she can go out and enjoy a day with her friends. But when she looks through Tyler's (Charles Dera) room, she discovers an enigmatic trunk that leads her into a completely different universe. Her fingers and eyes twitch over the assortment of riding crops and paddles carefully arranged atop a red velvet cushion, leaving her bewildered. She takes up a paddle and turns it around slowly, enjoying the substantial weight of it in her fingers. Like a moth to a flame, she finds herself drawn to it, but Tyler's firm voice behind her abruptly snaps her out of it. Rather than being terrified by Tyler, she perceives a sinister side to him that ignites a flame she was unaware was there. She's intrigued by the way he tenderly caresses his collection of paddles while sharing details of his dark wants and background.
