Following the runaway of his stepdaughter Marie (Isabella Nice), Kevin (Calvin Hardy) has been inconsolable. He's got no idea WHY she seems to have vanished from the face of the planet. He continues going back and watching their final moments together in the vain hope of finding the solution there. He doesn't know when she'll return, and she's gone. Kevin, however, is ecstatic when Marie unexpectedly returns—that is, until she says that Marie left because of HIM. Kevin is taken aback and terrified that he has done something wrong, but Marie surprises him even more by stating unequivocally that her departure was motivated by her affections for HIM. Kevin is humiliated to learn that Marie is acknowledging her romantic and sexual attraction to him. They are stepdaughter and stepdad! She can't be feeling this way about him! What will the mother of his wife, Marie, think? Marie's face gets serious. She admits that she's jealous of her mom, heartbroken that her own mom doesn't even seem to CARE that she's been missing. Her mom doesn't care about HER and she DEFINITELY doesn't care about Kevin... not like Marie does... but if Kevin can't return those feelings, then Marie has no choice but to leave again. She acknowledges that she is heartbroken that her own mother doesn't even appear to care that she has been absent and that she is envious of her mother. Marie's mother doesn't care about her, and she doesn't care about Kevin either—at least not as much as Marie does. If Kevin is unable to reciprocate Marie's sentiments, Marie will be forced to leave once more.
