As it begins to rain in this prequel to THE BAD UNCLE, Laney Grey's character Crystal is swimming in a pool. When she realizes the doors are locked, she leaps out of her house and tries to enter again. It is disclosed that she moved home with one of her parents not too long ago, but their bond isn't the best. Before leaving for work, the parent in issue appears to have forgotten that the child was swimming. With no other option, Crystal decides to walk next door and ask her neighbors to let her stay inside while she waits out the storm.
